I just wanted to do my part as far as promoting Max Tuckers new movie goes. If you haven’t read his blog yet you’ve really missed out. I read his stories six or seven years ago, and again just a few months back and the man is a genious. I wouldn’t want that life myself and I generally can’t stand people that drink too much, but man does it make for a good story.
I’m not going to bash it too hard, because I haven’t done too much research. Feel free to argue me on this, but on Apple’s website they announce that the built in Mac OS applications are now 64-bit compatible. Vista released this in 2007. I think XP has 64-bit versions out in 2005, albeit discontinued and never fully featured. I guess… welcome to the 21st century, Apple users.
It’s no big secret that I’m not a very big fan of Apple. I mean, some of the features that Apple’s products have are cute, there’s no denying that. The trackpad gestures I think are what impress me the most as far as their laptops go. But I still don’t want to use their products. Maybe, maybe if they were free, maybe.
Edit: I just noticed a lol, on apple.com it says “Mac OS X Snow Leopard, now available”. On apple.se it says “Mac OS X Snow Leopard, finns nu” which directly translates to “exists now” and no one talks that way. “Out now” or “available now” would have been better. Steve needs to fire some people at the Swedish office :P
Every now and then you make a :O type discovery, even if they’re just trailers.
The Book of Eli - Jan 15
I haven’t seen all of Denzel Washingtons movies, but the ones I have seen have all been good. So when he shows up in a movie like this that looks very cool, it leads me to believe that it’s going to be pure pwn.
Alice in Wonderland - Mar 5
Disney is remaking the movie about Alice, but not as a cartoon. And Tim Burton is directing :o It’s looking promising :)
Man I can’t believe it’s almost been a month since the last update. Time really does fly! Since then I’ve caught Public Enemies and Harry Potter’s Half-Blood Prince. They were both enjoyable movies, but Public Enemies didn’t quite deliver what I expected it would. It was a good enough movie, parts of it were just kind of slow. Harry Potter was a good movie. It did deviate from the book by a bit, stuff added, taken out and changed. It was expected though, it usually happens when books turn into movies. It was still a good watch.
I’m going to keep this short and sweet, I’m kind of tired after catching the midnight showing of it :) I really enjoyed the movie. I heard prior to going that it was going to be bad, someone that had seen a special screening thought it wasn’t worth his while. Each to their own clearly as I really enjoyed it.
With how the first movie was, this one has potential to be super corny. But I’m such a sucker for the genre that I can’t not do my fair share of promoting this.
I’ve always been a fan of beatboxing and it gets so cool when they mix it up with either simulating random instruments or better yet, when they mix it up and use real instruments. Way back when I saw a guy do it with a harmonica but I think this is cooler.
Edit: Starring Nathan “Flutebox” Lee and ‘Beardyman’
